It's a human

We had another ultrasound and learned that the baby was farther along than they had thought... which currently puts us at 15 weeks along.

I was excited to see that the baby had progressed from a pork chop shape to more of a human form...

James thought it was cool we could see the baby's brain.

We won't have another ultrasound until May when we'll be able to find out the sex of the baby.

On other news I went to Virginia and South Carolina for my step-sister's wedding and had a great time catching up with family.

12 Weeks!

We had a monthly check-up at the doctor's office today (which also happens to be the 12 week mark) and were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It has a strong and fast heart beat (about 160 bpm). It was very exciting to hear!

Hello Everyone!

James and I decided to start a blog to keep family and friends updated on our lives and our recent big news.

Much to our surprise, we found out in late January that I was pregnant.

It wasn't until the fourth test that James really did believe me.

So far everything is going really well. I haven't had any morning sickness or any other major side effects. Just adjusting to being more tired and more hungry than usual.

After our first ultrasound we learned that the baby's due date is Sept. 29th.

I think that baby looks a like a pork (or lamb) chop.

My Sister Sarah got the baby its first gift:

A little lamb (for lamb chop).

We're very excited about our big news and will keep everyone updated as we go along.
